Our experienced tour guide and driver will be greeting you at 6.30am at your hotel’s lobby then drive out of the hassle Siem Reap city to visit Preah Khan of Kampong Svay which is known as Bakan Temple, locates in Preah Vihear Province and it’s about 170km with 3 ½ hour drive from Siem Reap. The journey passes beautiful countryside dotting with palm trees & cattle, we stop to observe how traditional bamboo sticky rice is made and try some bites of its delicious taste, and have a short visit at Kampong Kdei bridge – the Angkorian bridge was built in 12th century during the well-known reign of King Jayavarman VII.

Preah Khan of Kampong Svay is a vast and historically significant temple complex was built during the reign of King Suryavarman I in the 11th century and later expanded by Jayavarman VII in the 12th century, it stands as one of the largest temples from the Angkorian period. Followed by its layout, impressive moats, intricate carvings and remnants of grand structures, the temple is extremely less touristy and offers a unique glimpse into the empire’s history amid the lust vegetation as well as a great experience for the most adventurous travelers at this untouched historical grandeur.

Return to our awaiting car/minivan then we make our way back to the hotel and end of service.

The entrance fee of Preah Khan of Kampong Svay cost $5 per person and it can be purchased at the ticket booth, just before you reach temple entrance. Our tour guide will be happy to assist you with this.

Transportation
